Senior IT engineering talent

Senior engineers.
Vetted by hand by us.
Delivered to you.

staffstacker places senior Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure, automation, AI and security engineers with MSPs, IT teams and businesses that need a reliable full tech resource. Every engineer is hand-vetted by people who have run these systems, so the person who shows up on day one already knows what they are looking at.

What we place

Depth, in the places it's hardest to hire.

Four disciplines where a senior engineer is worth five junior ones, and where the wrong hire costs you a client.

Microsoft 365 and Entra ID

Tenant architecture, identity, Conditional Access, and the migrations that go wrong when nobody senior is watching.

Automation and integration

Engineers who replace the manual process instead of documenting it — PowerShell, Graph, Power Platform, and the systems in between.

AI engineering

Practical AI inside Microsoft environments: what to build, what to skip, and what will actually survive contact with your users.

The difference

Work with one senior engineer.
You'll never go back.

Once you have seen a problem solved by someone who has already solved it, the old way of staffing stops being acceptable.

How we vet

Vetting is the product.

Anyone can forward a resume. Here is what an engineer clears before we will send them to you.

1

Real work, named

We start where they have actually worked — the tenants, migrations and outages they personally owned, not the projects their team shipped around them.

2

Technical interrogation

A senior engineer takes them through live scenarios in their claimed specialty until we find the edge of what they actually know.

3

Failure review

We ask about the project that went sideways. How they diagnosed it, what it cost and what they would do differently tells us more than any success story.

4

Client fit

We only send an engineer into an environment where their depth matches the problem. If we do not have the right person, we say so instead of sending the closest one.

About

Built by engineers, not recruiters.

Staffing is optimised for filling seats. A recruiter is paid per placement, which means they are paid to say yes — to you, and to the candidate, and to the next one after that. We are not built that way, and the whole firm is arranged around that one difference.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Senior only. No junior bench, no learning on your systems.
  • You talk to the engineer doing the work, not an account manager.
  • U.S. based. Mutual non-solicit available on any engagement.
  • Everything documented in your systems, so you are never locked in.
  • A straight yes or no on availability, usually the same day.
  • No minimum, no retainer, no long-term contract to get started.

We came out of the work

Everyone who screens for us has run the systems they are screening for. That is the only reason the vetting means anything — you cannot find the edge of what someone knows about Conditional Access unless you have been on the wrong end of a policy that locked out a tenant.

We stay small on purpose

A large bench has to be kept busy, and a bench that has to be kept busy will eventually be sold to you whether it fits or not. We would rather turn down the work and keep the relationship than place someone who is nearly right.

We say no in writing

If the problem is outside what we can staff well, you get told that in the first reply, not after three calls and a scoping document. It costs us the engagement and it is still the right trade.

The team

The people who find and vet.

Everyone at staffstacker works outreach and vetting. That is the whole job: go find senior engineers, put them through screening, and introduce the ones who clear it. Two of us specialise on top of that — one on sourcing the bench, one on getting the right engineer to the right business.

How the handoff works

You won't be managed by us.

Once there's a match you get the engineer directly — who they are, what they've run, and a line straight to them. No account manager, no relay, nothing routed back through staffstacker. We make the introduction and then we get out of the way.

Maya Vance

Director of Talent

Owns sourcing. Finds the senior engineers, runs them into vetting, and keeps the bench deliberately small so we can turn down work that does not fit.

Julian Pascal

Head of Delivery Operations

Owns the match. Works out which vetted engineer fits which business, and makes the introduction so the two sides can take it from there.

William Grant

Outreach and Vetting

Sources engineers, runs technical screening, and reaches out to the MSPs and businesses that need the depth.

Sloane Merritt

Outreach and Vetting

Sam Bennett

Outreach and Vetting

Sources engineers, runs technical screening, and reaches out to the MSPs and businesses that need the depth.

The standard

Nobody learns on your systems.

Every engineer has run the systems they are hired to fix. There is no junior bench, and no handoff after the sale.

Who we work with

Two ways to put a senior engineer to work.

Same bench, same rate. What changes is whose name is on the work.

For MSPs and IT firms

Your logo. Your client. Our bench.

You do not need to hire a $180k Entra specialist to win one deal — you need one on the project. We work entirely under your brand, so your client sees your team delivering the depth you promised.

  • White-label: your brand, your client, your invoice
  • Mutual non-solicit available
  • Escalation and project work, never your Tier 1 queue
  • We work in your PSA, so the notes live in your system
For businesses and IT teams

A full tech resource, without the headcount.

Most companies do not need a full-time architect on payroll — they need one for the migration, the integration, the thing nobody in-house has done before. Bring us the problem and we bring the person who has already solved it.

  • You talk to the engineer, never an account manager
  • Scoped projects or steady ongoing support
  • Documented as we go, so you are never locked in
  • Fills the gap when hiring would take six months
$85per hour

Same rate either way. No minimum, no retainer.

What it costs to work with us

You don't pay us. You pay the engineer.

No placement fee, no finder's fee, no percentage off the top, and no markup on the hourly rate. Our arrangements are with the talent, not with you — which is the same reason nobody here has any incentive to push a candidate who isn't right for the job.

Get in touch

Tell us what you're up against.

Describe the problem in a sentence. We will tell you straight whether we have the right engineer.

No sales sequence, no account manager. A real answer, usually the same day.
